Climate Justice March 2021

As SDG 13 champions, we join the rest of the globe in taking the climate pledge and doing our part – sensitizing local communities in Murang’a County on the effects of climate change, sustainable efforts on climate action and advocacy opportunities on climate justice, in partnership with Changers Organization and Kandara Social Justice Centre. While at it, we will emphasize the need for more girls and women to engage meaningfully in climate action because climate change disproportionately affects them.

There is no planet B. Global warming, extreme cold and hot weather, flooding, delayed rainfall, landslides, drought and famine, are indicators of the adverse effects of climate change, and now more than ever, we all must act in reclaiming our environment and restoring mother nature. Join us for a community sensitization forum in Kandara, Murang’a County as we hold an open dialogue on SDG 13 targets with young people in the constituency, and thereafter a climate justice march as we plant trees and revisit the over 500 trees that we planted last year.
